It is best to wait until Spring to transplant Lantana when all probability of frost is gone. They are hard to pull up. but just keep digging and pulling. Any good hunk of roots will do. Just replant in the spot you want. You should be able to get several plants from one Lantana.
Transplanting is best done in the Fall, and in the evening. Protect the roots so that they do not dry out, and allow them time to recover. Using a moisture control dip will also help the plants establish.
