There is no true remedy for transmission slippage, only things that may buy you time before you need to rebuild or replace. A simple transmission oil and filter change can help to remedy the problem for the time being. Using an additive such as lucas may save you also.

add tranny fluid and go from there. is it manual or automatic if its a automatic you probably have a problem with the input shaft in the tranny and that can be exspensive to fix.

Unfortunately there is no permanent remedy for transmission slipping. Additive may sometimes work for a while but usually wear off. Really the transmission should be rebuilt and new clutches installed. This should make it work like new.

Best remedy is to talk to a transmission shop and see what your options are. More than likely it will be cheaper to replace the transmission than to tear it down, plus you'll get a warranty with a new or used transmission.
