If your husband is compulsively afraid of germs to the point that it interferes with his life, then he should see a psychiatric professional as he could have obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Good sanitation and hygine practices are important for everyone, including frequently washing hands, covering mouth when coughing and sneezing, and avoiding prolonged contact with the sick.

Germ Phobic first off is the fear of germs, it is actually I believe a very common phobia. You can get therapy to help cure this disease. You can be prescribed medicine for it. In therapy they make you get over your fear by picking up stuff that contains germs and touching it.

no there is not an medication to give him. he needs to be educated that germs may be good for you and can help your immune sytem. he will probably be happy with a slat pill and tell him it is a health pill. he will never get over this phobiea until he realizes this.
