Apply pressure just below the wound to help stop bleeding,wash immediately with a good antibacterial soap,rinse,dry,apply small amount of Neosporin and apply a bandaid.

But if minor, gently and carefully clean and dry the wound, apply some antiseptic spray or ointment, and cover with a new, sterile dressing such as a plaster. Try to keep the wound dry, replace the dressing as necessary. Once you see it is healing, you can leave off the dressing.
