Wednesday is reportedly supposed to be the "best" day to buy gas. Oil companies reportedly tend to raise prices during the weekend. Gas prices do fluctuate daily. There are websites you can enter your zip code to find cheapest places to buy gas in your area.

The best time to purchase gas is before you need it. As for the best day of the week, there really isn't a "best day". Depending on the price of oil, the cost of gas can fluctuate on a daily basis. Some stations may lower their prices mid-week and then rai them again for the busier weekend.
