What is the best approach to breastfeeding twins?

It is bit difficult to breast feed both the babies at particular time. So one time you can breast feed for the first baby and feed the other baby using milk powder. For next routine feed you can breastfeed for second baby and feed the first baby using milk powder.

Once you and your twins have gotten the hang of single breastfeeding you should try to tandum feed them, both at the same time.

The best approach would be to have the one child have breastfeeding of milk first from one nipple and after the one has taken his share, have a gap of two minutes and then the second child should have the breastfeeding from the second nipple.

It is advisable to nurse both babies at the same time. It take a bit of practice. So a person help will make it easier to get the babies into position and remove them when they are done. As the mother and the babies become accustomed things get easier.
