Be sure to clean the piercing with the solution the place provides or with rubbing alcohol. The piercing also needs to be rotated in the ear so the ear does not grow over the metal. Be sure to not remove the piercing for the allotted time, if removed prematurely, the ear can get infected and need medical attention.

Industrial piercings tend to take longer to heal because they are two (sometimes more) piercings and at least one of which goes through cartilage. Take extra care to keep clean and go back to your piercer if you suspect complications, such as migration.
