The average salary in the United States last year for persons between the ages of 25+ with a High School Diploma was roughly 21,000-26,000. For college graduates it was approximately 50,000. This varies depending on a persons age, qualifications, years of experiences, and job industry. Some job industries are much more competitive than others.

Average salary is about 30,000 per person. The median income, which excludes far outliers like Bill Gates and the few other billionaires, is $25,149. However, the average salary is far lower for those without a high school diploma or only a high school degree, which is barely over $20,000 per year.
