There are two places called Berlin in Ohio, one in Holmes county, another one in Williams county. The first one is the oldest existing village in Holmes County and lies in the heart of Ohio's largest Amish community. The Amish people are known for simple living and rejection of modern technological devices.

There are two cities in Ohio named Berlin. One is in Holmes County the other in Williams County. The one in Holmes is the oldest existing city in that county. It was established in 1816. The other Berlin is in the extreme northwest corner of Ohio, just two miles from Indiana. It is tiny and unicorporated.
