PLC means Programmable Logic Controller. It is an electronic device which is used on most automatic industrial machinery to allow you to program the steps that need to be done in a cerain order to complete a process. This is done with a programming language and input output modules. The PLC is a computer which controls the process.

PLC is an acronym for many different things. It is most commonly used as shorthand for Programmable logic controller, a programming language of sorts.
