It limits what many of business owners can do and sale. It also stops certain products that are harmful and deadly from being sold to the American public. It also makes sure the products sold are "legit" and will not break when the buyer goes to use it. Hope this helps

For starters it affects who and how many employees you can hire. No immigrants, lets you know who convicted felons are etc. In that regard it's a positive impact. Now the insane amount of taxing for owning a business is one of the "bad" things in my opinion. It's borderline insane.

The ease of filing a lawsuit and, unlike most nations, those filing a frivolous case don't pay the innocent party's bill, means many frivolous cases are filed, driving up costs.

The ease in which lawsuits can be filed has resulted in the U.S. legal system having more lawsuits per capita than any other nation. This drives up liability insurance for all businesses, doctors in particular. This flood of lawsuits also jams up the court system, resulting in it taking years to get to court.

The legal system impacts US business in tons of ways. One is in terms of requiring fair (antidiscriminatory) hiring practices.
