It appears as though Nurofen (prescribed principally in the UK) is a combination of both Codeine and Ibuprofen; if marketed to children (unlikely), it is probably due to the anti-tussive (anti-cough) properties of Codeine. More likely, it is marketed as a pain relief medication. We do not prescribed this in the US.
