You're going to need new cables and a new electronics box. You'll need an electronics expert to install it for you. For electronic questions like this i would refer to either the user manual or consult a trained and licensed electronics expert, as there are many types, and this is broad.

I am assuming you are wanting to upgrading your car stereo amps, the process would involve researching what your speaker/sub setup needs as far as power requirements and number of channels. Then after you bought the new amp connecting it will be fairly easy as it is just unplugging the old amp and hooking up the new one.

You need a good soldering skills. But the most common thing to do is replace the capacitors with black gate or non electrolytic ones. wet tantalum caps are good for non electrolytic replacement. jacks can be changed out for gold plated ones and low noise power transformers. expect to pay dearly for these upgrades.

Basically if you are upgrading your amp in your car you are going to have to probably upgrade your wires to your speakers and you the ones to your amp. If they are they same ohms then it will be fine but if they are different you would need to do it completely different.

You need both new cables and electronics box. Next get an licensed or trained electronic expert to install it for you. This is a broad question due to the fact that you have different types of amps and you want to make sure everything gets upgraded the right way.
