What is involved in preparing the ground for new sod?

This is not a easy project. Make sure that the old grass is dead and pulled out. Till the soil and get all the old debris out and rake the area even. Check for stones and pull them out. After that is done lay the sod down and water, water, water. Sod takes about a good 10 days to set.

To prepare the ground for new sod, till the area (at least 5 inches), spray any needed fungicides, and till again in a week. You should be all set.
