Figgy pudding is a pudding that contains walnuts and / or figs. It resembles a White Christmas pudding. The figgy pudding is sometimes baked, steamed in the oven, boiled or fried.
Figgy pudding is actual more like a cake than pudding. It's very close to carrot cake with a custard base and allspice and nutmeg spices are also used. You may also add cognac or rum for a little festive flavor.
