Crab grass is a type of weed. It is from the grass family but it is a type of grass that is invasive and takes over and chokes other plants that it comes into contact with. It is very difficult to get rid of. It is very wise to nip it as soon as you see it coming up.

Crabgrass is a type of weed that sends roots allover your lawn and seeds very quickly. It can takeover your lawn and kill off the healthy grass. If left to grow it will easily grow to three feet in height. Another way to identify it is by the flowers it grows on purple spikes.
