Crabgrass is a weed that grows annually when the weather is warm. It usually dies during the first frost of the fall. During the summer months the stems can grow up to 3 ft in length. Many types of fertilizers and weed killers are available to prevent the growth or kill it without harming your lawn.

Crab grass is a type of weed. It is from the grass family but it is a type of grass that is invasive and takes over and chokes other plants that it comes into contact with. It is very difficult to get rid of. It is very wise to nip it as soon as you see it coming up.
