Check to make sure all the connections are secure. Make sure the sleep timer is turned off and if the problem persists, contact the manufacturer.

sometimes when t.v.'s start to get a little age on them they have this problem when they just keep shutting off and it will not stop. The first thing I would check is the tubes in the t.v. You should check the manual for instructions on replacing the tubes and then visit the website to buy new ones.

Most commonly, when this is happening it is not properlly plugged in. If this is not the case, the power supply is damaged and not converting the energy coming into the wall into the proper voltage, which makes the TV choke and shut off.

It is probably caused by a malfunction of the lamp inside the tv. It shuts off because there may not be enough power to keep it on.

I think that there is some IR interference. If there is a candle nearby, other IR remote or reflected object like mirror probably these things can cause some interference. Try to use your tv away from these objects.

Insignia appears to be a cheap brand. As with most cheap brands, the parts used to produce the television are very likely to be even cheaper. As with most cheaply produced parts, the most critical components are likely to fail quickly. The issue very likely lies with the power supply board inside the television.

I have had a simlair problem in our case it was a short in the power supply in the television itself. It was a nearly three hundred dollar repair.

It could be many things. Check out the power cord, it may be damaged. There may even be some interference waves nearby.

I had the same problem and it was a bad backlight inverter board. Found one online pretty cheap
