Frank Donald Goodish, the man who would come to be known as Bruiser Brody played football at West Texas State University with teammates Terry Funk and Virgil Runnels (Dusty Rhodes). He would become known as one of the pioneers of the brawling style of professional wrestling

Born Frank Donald Goodish of Detroit, Michigan, Bruiser Brody a.k.a. Red River Jack, King Kong Brody and The Masked Marauder, was a professional wrestler. At 27 years old, the 6'5' tall 285-pounder began wrestling in 1973. He was one of the first to exhibit the 'brawling' style. In a wrestling related incident, he was stabbed to death in 1988.
