What is blood pressure "arthritis"?

I have recently been diagnosed with this and want to know more about it.

I am wondering if you understood the diagnosis correctly. Blood itself cannot be arthritic, but certain ordinary medicines prescribed for pain relief in arthritic conditions can cause elevated or high blood pressure. Check with your doctor or pharmacist and see what pain relief medications you can take that will not increase blood pressure.

I believe you've been diagnosed with blood pressure "arteritis," not arthritis. Arteritis is an inflammation of the arteries. It can have many causes. In your case, the doctore believes the inflammation is caused by your high blood pressure. Getting your pressure under control is an important step in reducing the inflammation.

I have never heard of blood pressure arthritis but arthritis itself is an inflammatory disease affecting the joints in a persons body. The medication to help alleviate the pain caused by arthritis can cause a high blood pressure so care should be used.
