The largest desert in Asia is the Arabian Desert, which covers approximately 900,000 square miles, including portions of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates --- the fourth largest desert in the world. Another large Asian desert is the Gobi, in China and Mongolia, covering 500,000 square miles -- second in Asia and fifth in the world.
