How to make shelters if on a deserted island?

You would have to use whatever is there. Either it would be tree branches and vines or rocks constructed into a shelter.

What kind of island? Generally deserted just means there aren't any people, it doesn't specify what the topography is like. If there are lots of plants, trees and animals then you're limited only to the tools you have or can make. If it's a barren rock, say your prayers.

You should really read a survival book or look online for a detail guide. Basically you make a frame with sticks and vines or other binging material. The you cover the side of it with branches or what ever is available to protect you from the elements.
