Depending on the length of the slide show, a great choice would be Erik Satie's Gymanopedie No.1 The music conveys a lot emotions, ranging from sad, melodic, though provoking, slightly upbeat, to humbling. All these emotions represent moods that we face in life everyday, and that are captured in photographs to be remembered.

You should take the person into account. if they were elderly, don't use modern music they may not have liked. If you're having trouble with words, then pick something that has none. Instrumental music is appropriate, because it means people will be focused on the images, and that's surely better.

I would have to go with Brandenburg concertos. It is chamber music composed by J.S. Bach. What makes it perfect is the fact it has both fast and slow beats. It starts off happy and that would be great to celebrate the persons life. The middle is slow good for the sad part and ens off happy.

I think anything that conveys the message you are trying to send to others about the person who passed on would be appropriate. Something that has good meaning behind it for them. How do you want others to remember them?
