The Oedipus syndrome is when a boy falls in love with his mother or secretly wishes to have sex with his mother. It is called the Oedipus Syndrome because in the plays written by Sophocles, Oedipus ends up marrying his mom & she has his children. When he finds out it's his mom he pokes his eyes out.

i dont see the problem if a son is in love with his mother,as long as the mother consents to it and the same with father and daughter, you might even get son and father and mother and daughter, you cant help who you fall in love!
