A girl who is constantly berating you, and tearing you down. Perhaps she is constantly telling you things about how you aren't good enough, or you are worthless, or she doesn't know why she dates you. She could also constantly be criticizing you, and telling you what you are doing wrong. Or, you can do nothing right in her eyes.

An abusive girlfriend is someone who does not treat you properly. Whether the person is physically aggressive with you or speaks to you with vulgarity and rudeness, it can be abuse. Obviously, someone who hits, punches, scratches, and the like is being abusive. But it can also come in the form of name calling and put downs.

Put simply, an abusive girlfriend is one who abuses you excessively and unreasonably. Obviously, anyone who is physically violent is abusive, but some abusers do not use their fists. The biggest thing to look at is a pattern. Anyone can have a bad day, but if she is regularly cruel to you, then she is probably abusive.
