What is a triolet?

It's a single stanza poem of eight lines, following a rhyme scheme of ABaAabAB, where each line is usually in iambic tetrameter. I don't have space for an example here.

Triolet's are eight line one stanza poem. Triolets are different than other poems in that the first, fourth and seventh lines are identical as the second and last.
