A septal infarct is an area of the heart that has dead cells. Separating the left and right sides of a heart is a wall called the septum. This is where the dead cells/dead tissues are. When you have an EKG, the septal infarct may show up as the septum conducts electricity.

If you are speaking in cardiac terms, a septal infarct is a disruption of the signal n the septal nodes of nerves of the heart. It is considered a form of heart attack, but usually little tissue dammage is done. This condition can often times be treated with a surgically implanted pacemaker.
