If you live near a body of water, rent a houseboat. Make a candlelight path along the pier leading to the boat. You can have a picnic basket with his favorite foods onboard to surprise him. Take a sunset cruise, then dock for the night. The next morning you can fish or do other activities on the water.

I think the more romantic thing you could do for your anniversary is recreating the first time you two met.

Why not make hotel reservations for the weekend. Have room service and champagne. Put a do not disturb sign on your door until room service is called. Plan on not leaving the hotel all weekend. Buy yourself a sexy nightie and him something just as sexy. Let yourselves go and enjoy every minute!
