What is a professional drummer salary?

A professional drummer's salary can vary greatly depending on the gig, your skill level, the type of music he/she is playing (i. e. rock, jazz, ensemble) and the type of musicians he/she is playing for. Low end drummers usually make 50-1000$ a gig depending on the event. More musicians nowadays have a second income.

A professional drummer's income depends on how much he promotes himself, and his skill level. A highly skilled drummer who has networking connections (like thru school) can earn between $500-1000 a week. But it varies GREATLY. Most musicians, even pros, have day job.  add a comment

A good drummer, playing out several times a week, can make enough money to support themselves and their family. I have played in a few bands and can make up to $100 a night.
