It is the protrusion of the abdominal cavity contents through the inguinal ring. It is the result of the failure of embryonic closure of the inguinal ring after the testical passes through it. They typically cause a bulge in the groin and with increased abdominal pressure may or may not be painful.

An indirect inguinal hernia is an inguinal hernia which results from the failure of the embryonic closure of the internal inguinal ring after the testicles has passed throught it. Like other inguinal hernias, it protudes through the inguinal ring. Indirect inguinal hernia is more common in males than in females.

IT is a condition where fat in the or a part of the small intestine bulges thropugh the weaker part of the ab muscles
