At least 64 ounces of water per day, a healthy breakfast is important. Caffeine should be eliminated along with sugary products. Lunch and dinner should include vegetables and lean meats.

The best thing is to follow the food guide pyramid, get lots of servings of lean protein, and fruits and veggies. Cut out sugars and most drinks other than water.

One healthy diet plan that I have used successfully is the "Eat Right America" plan. You cut out all animal proteins, and focus your eating on fresh foods loaded with nutrients, they have a great website too. There is also the Engine 2 Diet that is used by firemen in Austin, Texas.
