A sector is part of a computers hard disc drive. These comprise plates or platters, partitions, sectors, and segments. Sectors are a grouping of segments that can vary is size depending on the size of the hard disc and how the disc has been formatted. A sector can contain one or more files.

Hard Disk sector is an area of a computer's hard disk wich stores information. The computer divides the hard disk in sectors and clusters and each one has an address and contains a portion of a file
