During the final stages of liver cancer, the patient may develop cirrhosis or jaundice, or experience fevers, loss of appetite, and/or pain. The cancer may spread to other organs.

The liver does many things, and as it fails, the results of those functions are seen in the body. The liver detoxifies poison, so now the poison will collect in the brain and make him confused. The liver also makes clotting factor, so he may bruise or ooze blood from needle mark.
