What happened with Lot's wife?

When the angels of the Lord told Lot and his wife and two daughters to leave Sodom because they were about to destroy it, they also warned them to leave right away and not to look back. The Bible says that Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. It doesn't say why she did it though.

In the Bible, Lot and family live in Sodom. Angels are sent by God to destroy the city. The angels lead Lot and relatives out of Sodom but warn them to not look back or they will turn to salt. Lot's wife gets curious, turns back, and becomes salt.
