What is the etiquette to use when introducing my wife to people?

First off, determine (by asking) what name your wife would like to be introduced under. Traditionally women use their maiden name professionally and their married name socially, but now many women no longer follow this practice. If you feel you need to describe your relationship, you can say "this is my wife... ". Don't exclude honorifics.

Introduce her to everybody, and say something simple such as "Henry, this is my wife Janice. Janice, this is my business associate Henry. " If introducing her to another woman, if you make physical contact with the woman (a touch, hug, kiss... ), put you arm around your wife immediately afterward.
