How did God feel about Lot's wife?

God was displeased with Lot's wife because she was disobedient. She looked back when He told her not to look. As punishment, He turned her into a pillar of salt. God desires obedience. Obedience leads to life. As she chose not to listen to God--like Adam and Eve losing the privilege of immortality—-her punishment was death.

If God directly destroyed a person, it was because that person was beyond reconciliation with Him. In support of this, her name is not recorded in the Bible and she serves as a warning example in Luke 17:28-32 as one not to imitate.
