Yellowfin tuna are a huge part of diets in asian countries as well as the US. The loss of tuna through fishing, and then turned into canned good/sushi lowers the species count and also lowers the amount of food their predators have to eat. This happens with all species, the food chain.

It's more rare and over fished. It's always better for the environment to eat as low down on the food chain as possible. They also have a high mercury content.
