When the doctor says your cervix is ripe it is just another way of saying that it is soft, or could even be somewhat dialated. This can happen soon before labor/ during early labor. So in other words it may mean that it is just about time for your new baby to come!

A ripe cervix is a cervix that has started to become soft. It is one of the signs that labor may be happening in the near future. Some cervix will not naturally ripen on their own and may require medication to stimulate ripening.

your cervic is ripe means that your cervic is ready for the normal delivery as when the baby arrives your cervic has to expand as the babys head is the biggest part that comes out first and so your cervic has to expand which is gods given gift to women.. as your body molds to delivery.. so donot worry
