If the dog is sick, if it has eaten anything poisonous,non-eatable things like plastics, rubber, been bitten by other dogs, if the dog is ignored,fed by foods that dog does not like, has worms, has ticks or fleas,very aged, has lost eye sight, strong odor foods, has wounds in the mouth, broken teeth, other injuries, stomach is full.

Many things can cause a dog to stop eating. One major cause is stress. Another cause is a stomach virus or bug. It is best to contact a doctor if problem persists.

He may not like his food. If he's not eating much at all you should take him to the vet. It could be a sign of worms or other issues.

It may be as simple as the dog not liking his dog food, but this is a potentially life-threatening situation. See a vet as soon as possible.
