What does it mean when your airbag light comes on?

When the airbag light comes on, you are having an issue with the saftey restraint system. I had an issue with this on my Honda Accord and it turned out to be the seatbelt. The buckle that the belt latches into probably went bad and needs replacing.

your airbag light comes on when there has been a trip in the srs system if your airbags havent gone off it means one of the sensors has malfunctioned

The cause depends on what the model vehicle. This indicates a problem with the SRS and requires immediant attention. Take it to a dealer/professional, it is not a DIY fix.
