It depends on the person, maybe he likes to call everyone sweetie, however if that's not the case, it's probably because the guy is more or less interested in you.

Some men just call women things like "sweetie" or "hun". Generally older, old fashioned men, tend to call women this a lot more than the younger guys do. If he's making it seem like he likes you by his body language then it could mean that he's showing interest in you.

Sweetie is a pretty cute pet name. If you're dating the guy, it's definitely a sign of affection. If he's just a friend, he might be interested in you, or he might look at you as something like a sister. Don't take it to seriously, either way it's friendly!
