It can mean a lot of things, from an irritation or allergy to a inmunosystem problem, so the best advice is to visit the veterinarian to get sure isn't something to worry about.

It could just mean that they have a sun burn or that their noses are dry. Also it could mean that they have a skin infection or that they are sick in some way because the nose is an indicator of health.

If your dogs nose is peeling than i would say it is because the air is very dry. It may also be that the dog is dehydrated. Try offering it some extra water. Have you thought of the posibility of allergies or has he or she been doing alot of digging in dirt or sand?

Your dog probably has allergic contact dermatitis. It could be that your dog is allergic to either its food or the plastic in the dog bowl. Try switching from a plastic bowl to a metal bowl and see if it clears up; however, if your dog has any other problems, take it to a vet.

I thought my border collie's nose was sunburned so I just kept applying stuff to it; when I got to the vet she said it was a disease similar to Lupus! please do not ignore this - take your dog to the vet! Be safe.

Usually this isn't anything to worried about, but you should take your dog to the veterinarian to be sure it isn't a serious disease. It could mean that your dog is dehydrated or has an allergy to something, could be a new food or something in your house or your yard.

Your dog probably has a sunburn on his nose. Put petroleum jelly or Bag Balm on it, sparingly, for a few days. If it doesn't improve, make sure you take him to the vet to rule out more serious problems.
