Grand Kids foundation is an educational based organization that spends donations on school supplies, books and other educational supplies to people / families that can not afford it . They also help schools who don't necessarily get the government funding they need to teach children. They rely on donations, sponsorships and yearly events to help to those in need.

Granderson's foundation has two goals. His parents were both teachers, so one thing he wants to do is help educational initiatives. There are donations for parents who cannot afford supplies and schools that need books. His second goal is to bring the sport of baseball back to the inner cities. He has provided equipment to some programs.
