Also known as the oxalis plant, the shamrock plant has 3 leaves with little white flowers. They are grown from bulbs. Make great house plants and do not look like the 4 leaf clover. The flowers come in different colors as well as the leaves have different colors but the shape is the same.

Originally from South America but named after the Celtic word for clover, the shamrock resembles the clover in that it has three leaflets, too. The stem of each is about 5" long. During springtime and other times during its growing season, the shamrock produces white flowers with five petals each.

This plant has a leaf with three leaflets-individual leaflets are triangular in shape. Shamrock is similar to clover in that clover has three leaflets; the word shamrock derives from "clover".
