Is it possible for a moon flower plant to appear more like a shrub than a vine?

The moon flower is suppose to be more like a vine. There is a couple thing you can do. First do you have something for it grow on like a trellis? If you do then I would take a small clipping to the nursery you purchase the plant at and show them. You will know for sure when it blooms.

There are differnt plants that are all called moon flower. If you have provided a trellis for the plant, and it is still turning into a schrub, you may want to take a clippng to the local nursery. You may have a plant that is called moon flower and is one of the schrub varieties.

Datura "angels trumpet" is a species considered a moonflower and is a shrub, and a very lovely example of the plant. There are many plants called moonflower, the one you were likely thinking of is the vine Ipomoea Alba. I would suggest bringing a picture to your garden center.

It could be the moon flower needs something to grow up. If the plant is new it possibly could look more like a shrub than a vine.

A moon flower plant does grow more like a small tree not like a vine. So you do have the plant you thought you bought from the nursery.

The moon flower plant will grow like a shrub. There are possibilities for this. There are moon flower plants which grow like vine and also like shrub. The moon flower plant that you have now may be a plant which grow like a shrub. There is no need to worry about this.

Yes, this would be easily possible if you are keeping this particular plant in the correct amount of sun light.
