You need to go into the internal assembly of the thermostat and replace the battery. There is a small battery in there that supplies energy to the unit so that is can store the information about the room temperature and the settings.

This error message means that you should replace the battery in your thermostat. Your instruction manual should provide diagrams showing how to do this.

The error that you are receiving is actually a lot easier to fix then you make think. All the error means is that you need to replace the battery in the thermostat. They let you know when the battery is getting weak so you can replace it in time before the battery dies.
