Raccoons keep getting into my garbage.

I have heard - but I can't swear to it - that Chili plants keep a lot of pests (including raccoons) out, as does a chili-based spray.

There is no 100% effective racoon repellent, but you can secure your garbage can with a bungee cord. Do not leave any food scraps in the yard, etc.
