You may wish to reconsider using poison. There is a chance another innocent animal may ingest it. The best way to get rid of unwanted wildlife is to make it irritating for them. Loud music or lights may help. Patience is the best remedy, a nocturnal animal never stays in the same den for any great length of time.

There is no legal poison for killing mammals such as raccoons. If you use rat poison it will not kill the raccoon only cause it internal bleeding. Also if you put poison out for a raccoon that doesn't mean just a raccoon could eat it, a neighborhood dog or cat could just as easily eat it.
