Open with a sentence or two containing 'niceties' like "It was great to see you at {xx}." The next sentence should start with "Thank you for......" Next, explain why you are thankful. End with another nicety like "I hope to see you soon!" Best to end with 'Love,' or 'Sincerely,'.

Keep it simple. Say "Thank you so much for the lovely XYZ" or you can just say "gift." Say, "It was thoughtful of you to remember us" or something gracious.

When you send a "thank you" card, you should name the specific gift, tell them how much you like it and even mention what you will use it for.

"Thank you for (what you're thanking them for). I really appreciate it and look forward to returning the favor in anyway I can." would be a good way. It honestly depends on what you're thanking them for but you can use the example above as a guideline and switch it where you need it to fit what you're saying.
