It would depend on the cat's reaction. Cats can be allergic to insect bites just like humans. If the bite isn't bad, just some antibiotic cream should help. If the cat shows any sign of distress he should be seen by his vet right away. Just kept a watch on the 'ordinary' bite for signs of infection.

Most bites will be harmless, just make sure to keep an eye on the cat and if you observe any strange behavior or reaction take it to a veterinarian.

Usually this isn't a big deal and it will heal on its own. However, sometimes insect bites can get infected or your cat can have an allergic reaction. If the bite gets infected, your vet can prescribe antibiotics. If your cat has an allergic reaction, your vet can give a steroid to help with swelling.
