You might want to try eliminating gluten from your diet. Many people are sensitive to gluten but are unaware they have this sensitivity. Elimination of foods containing gluten can reduce the gut irritation; allow your stool to normalize and the cramping to cease.

If you have been avoiding seeds, nuts and foods with skins, then take inventory of your beverages. Caffeine and alcohol definitely irritate the lining of your intestines. Always monitor these findings under the care of a physician. Spinach is a non-acidic way to get healing Vitamin C. Eat foods rich in folic acid. Eat foods that are easily digestible.

If you have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) either Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, check out chia seeds. They seem to do the trick.

First is you have to rest your stomach, don't eat anything. Then you can take antibiotics or steriods to relieve the inflammation. You can also visit your doctor to get prescription. Also having tube feeding my lessen the attack, but rather just eat small frequent meals everyday and avoid eating or drinking dairy products.

Try modifying your diet. Eliminate foods you suspect may trigger the condition, such as spicy foods, citrus foods, dairy products, or nuts. Keep a food diary and note your symptoms to look for patterns.
